Sally - Part VI - Completed

The last touch-ups were done on Sally's portrait. My client thought she looked a little too portly from what she remembered of Sally (it's often the case with long haired pets), so I slimmed her down a little.
I selected a gros-grain ribbon in a nice shade of green for this portrait and textured decorative nails in and antique brass finish.

I have a soft spot for black dogs, they are often the ones that are left behind in litters of pups or they are simply destroyed. It's good to see that Sally had found a loving home and a good life with Thelma and her family. It was a real pleasure to paint her in Thelma's lovely garden.
