Missky, Nanook and Morley - Commissioned Portraits

The client who commissioned the Stormy and Shanon portraits also wanted portraits of her beloved deceased pets, Missky, Nanook and Morley.

Missky (on the left) was a young female dog found roaming the country side and would have been destroyed had she not been adopted. She had one blue eye and one brown eye, giving her a very expressive face. She was probably a mix between a Samoyed/Husky and a German Shepherd - your guess is as good as mine. One thing is for sure, Missky was big and beautiful. She took to her new mom and her new life instantly and became the sweetest and most loyal companion anyone could hope for. She passed away of old age in the arms of her human mom.

Nanook was a beautiful purebred female German Shepherd owned by a friend of hers, but who ended up in her care. Both Nanook and Missky became close companions. Nanook, who had been trained to be a guard dog, was very athletic and quite the show-off, but she had the most sensitive and gentle nature behind that dark wolf-like face. Always eager to please, even to the end. She also passed away of old age, peacefully on her dog bed, in the garden.

Morley, a big beautiful white and gray cat was welcomed into my client's home because his owners were allergy sufferers and could no longer keep him. A silent, constant presence to his human mom, he was the best of cats and loved dearly. He died of old age as well.
