Pepe - Shih Tzu - Portrait Commission II

Sketch for Pepe's portrait.

The photo I was given to work with is excellent. It conveys very well his sweet nature and that little tilt of the head is perfect. Pepe is not camera shy, which makes for a photogenic dog. That makes my job easier because I don't have to work with several different shots to capture my subject.

Pepe's background had to be 'red chilito', of course.  His cushion is purple indigo to complement his silvery coat and contrast with his white chest.

Many more layers are to be added, but it's a good start.
