Annabelle - Commissioned Dog Portrait - Part III
Here is Annabelle in her pink jammies, ready for snuggles.
Proceeding with Annabelle's portrait, her facial features are more defined as well as the light source.
Working on her body...
...and the grass.
I added some delicate detailing at the bottom of the painting for visual interest. The grass that went to seed overlaps Annabelle's body leading the eye upwards to her face.
The finished portrait before the varnishing stage.
Annabelle's portrait is now complete. She may no longer be with Kimberly, but this will soon be in her home, part of her family. I hope it brings comfort and help fill the gap Annabelle left behind.
