Shelby - An Answered Prayer, part V

Today was spent working on Shelby's chair with its big luxurious velvet cushion accentuating light and shadows. I don't think I will do a contrasting pattern on the cushion - it may be too much with the background. I'll see how I feel about it tomorrow, taking some distance. Beauty was my little partner today, but she was taking a little too much room, breathing and snoring right beside the painting. I should be able to start on Shelby's portrait tomorrow, my favourite part of the work.
