Shelby - An Answered Prayer, part IV

The background of Shelby's portrait was quite labour intensive, but well worth it. I made it purposely dark and subtle so it would not compete with Shelby once she is painted in, but visible enough to see the two angels. I thought that it would be nice to paint a female angel and a cherub symbolizing Judy and Shelby. I wanted to make it look like frescos you see on old Italian Palazzi walls.
