To me, seeing things with a fresh, well rested pair of eyes is essential. It jumps to me that the side table and all the decorative objects, are competing with Beauty, all elements being in the front of the composition. So I drew the side table and all the decorative objects to the back making Beauty stand out. I also needed to extend the base of the chaise. Now, the composition feels less heavy and busy. The bottom shelf of the side table needs a little something. Knowing that Beauty was often hot, perhaps a water dish. It's going very well, I will start painting today.
