Commissioned Bugs & Blooms Collection

 

I’m currently working on a special collection. 

My client gave me a list of twelve blooming plants he wanted me to depict as they are very meaningful to him. He also gave me numerous photos of his mother’s jewellery for me to use as inspiration to design the jewelled bugs that will be "pollinating" the blooms. His mother passed away recently. Some of these blooms were not only her favourites, but also represent the family’s rich cultural heritage.

This commission is intended as a gift to my client’s sister.

Now that the blooms are done, I can proceed with designing the jewelled bugs.
