Commission Bugs & Bloom Collection - 4 / Beetle & Hydrangea
The gem-set beetle found its home in the hydrangea.
To help me reproduce the insect I cut half of its contour, not bothering with the legs, as they can easily be painted afterwards.
I trace the right side, flip and trace the left side, then fill in the insect shape with primer.
This technique gives me a very close reproduction of my initial design.
One completed, eleven more to do.
