Commissioned Portrait - Grandfather and His Cat, Part VII

Yesterday was spent refining the armrest and pants. 

Still more light and shade to apply to the legs, but it's a good base.

I noticed that I had buttoned the shirt the wrong way. Force of habit, having designed women's clothes all my life. For men it's left over right, so I corrected it before starting on the plaid pattern.

Here is where things are progressing at a snail's pace. This plaid is quite complex and at this point it's very rough looking, so I might not post again until I'm happy with the results - sometime next week.
