Tonik - Part III
Yesterday was a very productive day. In the photograph above, Tonik is totally focussed on the tree ornament. Like him, I was concentrated on my work - so much so that I kept forgetting to take shots of my progress.
Tonik's portrait is almost finished, but I need to leave it alone for a while. Today will be a day of corrections and fine tuning.
I understand too well the pain of losing an animal companion. We miss their loving gaze, the softness of their fur, the sounds they make. So I try to make my portraits as realistic as possible to recreate their presence. Nothing can replace our beloved pets, but to be able to see them in our home even if it's only in a form of a painting, is very comforting.
