Commissioned Portrait - Little Girl with Pearls, part II
Base coats
At this stage, the portrait is thin, meaning that it has very few layers and there is no real resemblance. The shadows are too strong and there's no life to the skin and eyes. It's very awkward, but it will all come together gradually.
It's raining today, it will have to be a short day because of the lack of good natural light.
