Commissioned Portrait - Little Boy with Bow Tie - Part III

Thus far, April has been a month marked by illness. Now that we've all contaminated each other and got those germs out of the way, I'm well enough to resume work on the portrait of this handsome little boy.

 Base coats and many more to come.

I've worked on shading the skin, the nose and the mouth. Not done, but a good start. The eyes are not filled in yet - I'll start on them tomorrow morning when my own eyes are fresh. No matter how good the rest of the subject's features are, if the eyes are not right the portrait is worthless.
