Sally - Commissioned Portrait

This portrait is commissioned by a daughter and father team. Sally was the beloved dog of my client's step-mother, Thelma. The portrait will be a gift to her.

Sally was adopted from the pound and became Thelma's shadow, a constant and loyal companion. Dignified, smart, calm, affectionate, not to mention beautiful, everything you could wish for in a dog. Just another example that adopting a dog from the pound can be most rewarding. Most probably a Border Collie, Sally loved to go for her walks on nature trails, she enjoyed the water and hung out in Thelma's peaceful garden. But her favorite thing was simply to be with Thelma.

Sally has passed way. She'll be painted in Thelma's garden to convey that she is still close to home and to Thelma. Elements of her garden will be used as inspiration along with her favourite flowers.
