Japanese Plate and Everlasting Edible Flowers - Part II
Much was done, but still much more to do.
Very pleased with the highlights in the plate, it makes it look less flat.
The shading under the plate and the light along the rim lifts it up from the ground.
I still have to do the clover blooms, but so far, I like the contrast between the order seen on the plate’s patterns and the chaos seen in the lawn around it.
Can’t wait to start on the edible flowers.
Blooming at the moment in my garden are lilacs, bachelors button, chive, rose, honeysuckle - all edible.
My apple blossoms are spent, but I will still add a few. The day lilies are not ready to bloom, nor are the peonies but I would like to include one of each.
Progress shots.
