Nigerian Pygmy Goats - Lockett and Rainbow, Part II
Locket and Rainbow |
Here we are: the preliminary sketch is done. Side by side, but slightly staggered so the ear of one doesn't point in the face of the other. I thought it appropriate to draw Rainbow in the foreground because he's the man of action, always eager to greet his visitors. Lockett is not far behind, observing the situation, thinking things through before coming forward.
Goats in art are uncommon, but Pablo Picasso was inspired by his pet goat Emerald and made many pieces depicting her.
