Mr Sexy Boots

A beautiful black and white cat is about to be the subject of a new pet portrait. His proud owner is St Marys' councilwomen Carey Pope. Earlier this year, the St Marys Museum and the St Marys Historical Society hosted the 18th Annual Heritage Fair. Amongst the many items donated for a silent auction in aid of the museum was a gift certificate from Studio Vignette. Ms Pope won. I'm thrilled to be painting the very handsome Mr Sexy Boots.

Mr Sexy Boots is definitely not camera shy; he is quite the model. Many shots could have been used to paint his portrait. The one below spoke to me. The lovely colours combined with his black fur made for a nice contrast, but the big whimsical flowers surrounding him seem to be an extension of his personality - bold, confident, playful and cheerful.
