Commissioned Portrait - Grandfather and His Cat, Part XIII

Here we are, my client's recommendations for corrections had mainly to do with the hair and eyes.
(Note: When I do a close-up shot, my camera tends to overexpose the paler areas)

The eyes have to be just right.

Here the skin colouring is much more accurate. I gave the painting two good coats of varnish.
Now it needs a 24-hour rest for the fumes to dissipate completely.

In the meantime, I will prepare the paper backing, hanging hardware, surrounding ribbon and decorative nails for my client to choose. As in every commissioned portrait, a personal note can be printed on the paper backing - custom from start to finish.
