Stormy & Shanon-Part IV

Now that the portraits of Stormy and Shannon are completed, I will work on the paper backing.

A profile of each dog will be printed. I then choose a ribbon that complements the colours of each painting and will tack them in place, all around, using upholstery nails. I also affix hanging hardware to each piece so they are ready to hang. My training in the high-end garment industry compels me to give attention to areas that are not necessarily obvious. Finishing the back of the painting is not unlike a well-lined dress.
