A Moth Named Miss Havisham - SOLD
I started this painting at the end of 2024.
The inspiration came to me when I took out the silverware given to me by my late mother-in-law, in preparation for holiday meals. I needed to polish them up and had put them on my large turkey platter in the meantime. Sometimes, composition happens without much thought.
I had a round wood panel waiting for the right painting subject and this plate seam to be an obvious one, so I thought "it won’t be easy, but I’ll give it a try".
I often give up on a subject if I’m not feeling the love after a certain point, but this one turned out really well. It caught the eye of a regular client and now hangs in her beautiful home amongst other of my artworks.
Thank you for dropping in.
