Turquoise flowers are very rare. This one is from the puya plant that grows in Chile. I would love to have one growing on my property, but here in Canada, it would never survive. Still, in my painted world, where precious jewelled insects live, everything is possible. This gold butterfly is set with faceted orange garnets, opals and diamonds.
