Sparkly Creatures - Commission of 7 Mini Paintings - The Bee Fly

A few years ago, a St. Marys couple acquired two of my mini jewelled insect paintings.

The Spider on Mum and The Beetle on Blue Poppy - seen below.

They recently commissioned seven more pieces of sparkly creatures to hang out 

with the spider and the beetle. Expert gardeners, they transformed their backyard into a botanical paradise. I will be using several of their own blooms as backgrounds, a real treat as many of them are uncommon exotic species.

The base I use for these mini paintings is made of birch veneered wood blocks measuring 

4" x 4" x 1". All are hand primed by me.
